In this sense, Liturgical Music is used in the broadest sense possible to
encompass all forms of sacred music in the Judeo-Christian tradition. The
term is itself used in a more limited and specific sense, along with chant
(and various chant forms) and sacred choral music. World Ethnic Music,
likewise, is a broad and inclusive term, including music from non-western
cultures and peoples. Finally, Iconography is also used in a broad manner to
include the history and painting of icons. Each category is further
sub-divided into short articles of specific subjects. Each article includes
a brief summary, a Description that offers an overview of the subject, and
then additional resources: links to more comprehensive or related articles
on the subject, as well as links to recording examples in the Liturgica web
store.
