The second of three discs, this offers Tenebrae for Good Friday (sometimes sung on Thursday evening). The format is the same as the first disc, filled out this time with two hymns and two responsories that belong to the season. This group of chants includes Tenebrae factae sunt, the most renowned of all the Tenebrae responsories. The two hymns, Vexilla regis and Pange lingua?lauream, are among the most impressive of all chant hymns.
