Description
A traditional rendition of the sung liturgy of the Ambrosian Mass under the direction of Alberto Turco. The recordings capture most of the unique elements of the Ambrosian Mass, as distinct from the Mass of Rome, and presents many of the chant elements that make it unique.
ReviewBy: Benjamin Williams
This is one of the few recordings of the Ambrosian/Milanese mass available, and is both representational and good quality. The singing is quite good, and the recording has fairly extensive liner notes on the history and development of Ambrosian chant and of the mass itself. In Dulci Jubilo is a women's Gregorian choir that was established in 1988 at the annual International Courses in Gregorian Chant at Cremona. Liner notes contain complete hymn text in English.
