The joy and exuberance of a good children's choir speaks for itself--apart from the music being sung! In this instance, the joy resonates and comes through the singing! This choir is comprised of good voices, even if some are still maturing, and is well directed. The purpose of the CD is twofold: to make the Apolytikia of the Great Feasts more approachable and understood, and as a teaching aid to that children (and adults?) can learn them. In all respects, the recording succeeds: it is a pleasure to listen to, edifying, and certainly a good tool to learn these hymns.
